Our Laser Profilers in
Real-World Applications

Chetan Arora
BeeHex Automation, Software/Robotics Engineer
“I looked at other laser triangulation systems from competitors of AT, but either the cost versus accuracy or the technology itself didn’t match our requirements. That’s why we have been partners of AT for a long time now.”
Michael Beising
EVT Eye Vision Technology, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
“AT Sensors was one of the first companies to develop the world’s best 3D laser profile sensors, and neither this status nor this claim has changed to this day. I know that AT provides high quality and that I can rely on it one hundred percent, and for me, these are the two decisive criteria for continuing to rely on AT sensor technology.”
Hüseyin Bozan
LASS Technology, Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
“All hardware components used in the FlexScan system must come from world-leading brands. Therefore, we prefer the AT brand when selecting sensors. In addition to excellent resolution and sensitivity, we achieved the clearest image with minimal noise using this brand. Capturing the correct image is the most critical factor for the system to achieve accurate measurements. Hüseyin Bozan, LASS Technology Chief Technical Officer (CTO)”
Björn Brandt
IMA Ilapak, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
“We were impressed with AT Sensors in terms of robustness and ease of use. As we ship our products worldwide, we are also impressed with the comprehensive service.”
Marcel Staudinger
TireTech GmbH, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
“We were recommended the sensors by AT and were immediately impressed by the modular principle of the product range. We were able to configure the sensors exactly to our requirements like a modular system and thus, for example, put together both the triangulation angle and the required laser power ourselves.”
Markus Rosch
EcoMark GmbH, Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
“The 2040 sensors combine speed and accuracy in an impressive way and offer unsurpassed performance with a measuring width of up to one meter and a high resolution of 2,048 measuring points. They are virtually maintenance-free and require hardly any support as they are already calibrated at the factory. Thanks to their GigE Vision interface, they can be easily integrated into any existing system.”
Michael Newger
IBEA, Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
“The decision to use AT sensors was not a random one for us. We first opted for this technology back in 2014 because the resolution and functionality it offered was unrivalled on the market, and in our opinion still is.”
Tobias Wichmann
ISW, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
“This quality control system for baked goods has been used successfully throughout Europe for many years. We recently ordered additional sensors from AT Sensors for further production lines. We were impressed by AT Sensors at Vision 2021 and have been working together successfully ever since, enabling us to achieve international success.”

    FAQ

What is a 3D Laser Profiler?
A 3D laser profiler is an optical sensor that projects a laser line onto a target and captures its deflection and reflection caused by the object’s profile and surface. Through the relative movement between the sensor and the object, a 3D laser profiler captures the complete 3D surface topography of the component.
What distinguishes a laser profiler from other optical measuring devices or laser sensors?
A laser profiler differs from conventional laser sensors (point sensors) mainly in that it captures a complete height profile, while point sensors only measure the height of a single measurement point.
What does a 3D laser profile sensor cost?

The costs naturally depend on the application and level of customization, but our 3D laser profile sensors start at a price of $4,200.

How do I configure my specific MCS?
Our sales team has a dedicated configurator for your specifications, allowing us to set it up together and generate the corresponding datasheet for you directly.
Who can I contact in case of support issues?
You have the option to access current documentation and software tools through our product support page. Alternatively, you can also contact our support team directly by phone or email.
How do I integrate the 3D laser profile sensor into my application?
For this purpose, we provide our customers with our AT SolutionPackage, which includes SDKs and examples for integration into all common image processing systems.
What software is included with the 3D laser profile sensor?
Included in our AT SolutionPackage, are tools such as cxExplorer, cxShow3D in addition to cxSDK and application solutions like our cxMetrologyExplorer tools.
How do I know which 3D laser profile sensor is right for my application?

With our 25 years of expertise as component manufacturers in the field of 3D image processing, we have comprehensive knowledge in 3D laser triangulation sensor applications. Therefore, we can offer you optimal advice on which 3D laser profile sensor is best for your application. Feel free to reach out to our sales team with confidence: [email protected].
